About Snapmad and our Canvas and Photo printingHello, we’re Snapmad

And here’s a bit about us… It all started back in the mists of time, well 1997 to be precise. 

We started Snapmad because we love photography, but wanted much higher quality prints back from those painstakingly created photos - and for everyone else to enjoy better photo processing as well.

Getting to work

We rolled up our sleeves and got to work in our photo lab. We also took a look at prices compared to quality, and thought we can do better than that, and did.

From the start, we decided to keep it simple and our software makes it easy to upload images and make the tweaks you want for prints, enlargements, canvas prints or personalised mugs. We can then take care of the rest for you.

Offering more

We use the professional photographer’s choice of 300dpi to print our real photo prints and canvases. And you can upload TIF and JPEG files direct to Snapmad.

Printing expertise

We’ve put our years of experience to good use, and use class-leading equipment and paper to achieve the best results.

Top quality Fuji Crystal Archive Colour RA4 paper is used for all prints and enlargements. Enlargements are printed on the class leading ZBE Chromira LED digital printer with normal size prints handled by a Professional Photolab LED digital printing machine.

It’s easy to upload images from your device with a comprehensive range of print sizes - including poster size prints - available in landscape, portrait or square orientations. You can choose glossy or lustre finish.

Finishing touches

We offer a Pro Colour Correction (PCC) service where one of our professional technicians reviews and adjusts each image to ensure the best print quality result.

We’re proud of the team, which is led by Geoff Brehaut who had had a lifelong passion for photography and was a photojournalist for many years. We think it’s good to have someone who knows what they're talking about and doing when it comes to photography!

Expansion

Thanks to our growing band of professional and amateur Snapmadders (aka as excellent photographers who use Snapmad), we’ve developed and expanded our services.

Canvas prints

We love the way you can turn photos into real pieces of art and treasured memories to hang on walls. So, we invested in equipment and skills to bring high quality canvases to market without sky-high prices. 
Our canvases are ideal to showcase increasingly popular panoramic photography and collages. And our customers love the results with Snapmad canvases now hanging on many, many walls!
There’s lots of different size options and our software allows you to customize how your canvas looks. 
And to hang your canvas print, a hanger and screws are available to order.

Something extra special

You can create a kid’s alphabet canvas print on Snapmad, just type in their name and select the theme you want and you’ve got a unique canvas for their room. There’s also word art canvas prints available, just get creative to enjoy.

Technical details about our canvases

We use premium quality 420g polycotton canvas, and print with HP Designjet Vivid Inks for beautiful, richly detailed results. Once printed, the canvas is stretched over a warp-free Baltic pine frame. You can choose from two depths (premium 25mm or deluxe 38mm) plus gloss or satin finishes.

Fancy a brew in your own special mug?

We like coffee and tea as much as the next person, but thought wouldn’t it be nice to have our own mugs? We offer personalised mugs, which you can create from over 100 unique designs. Your uploaded images are thermally printed onto each mug. But just in case you’re not so keen on washing up, our mugs are 100% dishwasher safe.
